Producer Guneet Monga‘s ‘The Elephant Whisperers‘ won the Oscars for Best Documentary Short Subject. However, she expressed displeasure as the Academy did not allow her to deliver a winning speech. After Guneet Monga, now several netizens are also expressing their displeasure and slamming the Academy for doing so. A video has gone viral on social media wherein a user called out the ‘unfair’ practice by the Academy that cut off the Indian producer’s speech at the 45-second mark but allowed harles Mackesy and Matthew Freud to cross the 45-second mark and deliver their winning speeches.
