Supply came to a standstill after a tree fell on the power line near Dangheda in Nagal. Due to this, power supply remained closed in Nagal, Amki Deepchandpur, Dangheda, Bhalswa Isapur, Lakhnaur. Deoband SDM Sanjeev Kumar along with the police went to the sub-stations and tried to get the power restored. Supply was restored in Ambehta after 14 hours. The situation was such that on Saturday afternoon, at some places the electricity was restored and at some places it remained at a standstill. Submersible pumps, mobile phones, computers, flour mills and even e-rickshaws could not be charged in the villages.
More than 200 complaints reached the control room
A district control room has been set up near the office of the Superintendent Engineer of Electricity Corporation located at Ghantaghar. Due to the strike of electrical workers, complaints are coming in the control room. On Saturday, more than 200 complaints of no electricity, disconnection etc. were received.
Water supplied by municipal tankers
When there was a power failure due to the strike of the electrical workers, people also yearned for water. After this, former councilor Mansoor Badar called three water tankers from the Municipal Corporation and made them stand at Sarai Shahji and Machiyaran. After that water supply was done through tankers in Mohalla Khatikan, Aali Ki Chungi, Sabri Ka Bagh, Gado Ka Chowk, Indira Chowk, Shahdat Police Chowki Marg, Mehndi Sarai, Islamia School Marg etc.
